Looking for something heart-pounding to do? How about something that is guaranteed to make you scream? The tallest observation tower in the U.S. and the best view of the Las Vegas Strip, there is a lot more to see up on top of the Stratosphere than a breathtaking view! If you have a craving for rides that thrill, Try the BIG SHOT which catapults passengers straight up, 45 mph, nearly 900 feet above the ground! Oh yes, 4 Gs will surely propel you into next week!
Maybe you would rather slide down a giant teeter-totter 27 feet over the edge of a platform that is already 866 feet off the ground! If so then X-SCREAM is just what you have been waiting for!
Not far enough over the edge? OK then you should try INSANITY the Ride that has a gigantic mechanical arm that stretches 64 feet over the edge of the platform and spins you with 3 Gs of force!
If you are a little queasy already, then just come along and enjoy the view-from the inside if you are afraid of heights!
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition
Many items from the wreckage of the Titanic have been recovered and included in the Exhibition which has 25,000 square feet. Some of the original items from the Titanic herself include the ships whistles, floor tiles from the first class smoking room, an unopened bottle of champagne with a 1900 vintage and some luggage!
The exhibit also features a full scale recreation of the Grand staircase and the newly expanded outer promenade deck. You will feel the frigid temperatures the passengers felt on that fateful night in 1912, just before it struck an iceberg and sank slowly to the bottom of the North Atlantic.
The Titanic, referred to as the Ship of Dreams was said to be unsinkable by its builders, the White Star Line. They described it as a Floating Palace.
Visitors are allowed to walk through first and third class rooms that have been recreated with authentic furnishings by original manufacturers. This is one exhibit you will truly enjoy experiencing!
Titanic will close on November 30, 2008 and will re-open at the Luxor Hotel and Casino at a later date.
